McDonalds!

Amanda performed with Killingly JIVE (Jazz Is Vocal Ecstasy), a vocal jazz ensemble at the grand opening of a McDonalds in town. Yep, we celebrate these things in a small, rural town! :)




She decided to take an existing song they were singing and write new lyrics for it to fit the occasion. She did research and worked hard on it, then taught the group. It was a hit with the crowd. In fact so much, that corporate has asked them to come to their corporate event next week and perform after the Main Event Speaker. Very cool! They had Amanda sign a copy of her lyrics so that it could potentially be posted. She also got a call today saying it would be in her best interest to copyright the lyrics, "just in case". Who knows - maybe someday you will hear her song in their advertising. Here is a link to their performance of it - a bit tough as it was in a loud crowd, but still kind of fun to see.
