Band Banquet
School year is winding up and the kids are ready for summer! Mandy has been singing or performing at graduations (just performed in a Brass Quintet for the local community college) and both have been performing at this weekend's Tercentennial Celebration for our town. Can you believe that? 300 years! Just a bit older than Eugene. Kids had their end-of-the-year Music Banquet - semi-formal affair where Seniors are recognized, a video of the year is played and general merriment occurs. It was great fun to get to see the kids cut loose and rule the dance floor! Here are a few shots of their fun. (I thought 'air guitar' was a thing of my generation, but maybe Guitar Hero has brought it back???) Enjoy!

So far they are both ready for a summer break - no plans for work yet, although they are looking for summer jobs. Rent rehearsals will give them some activity and I'm sure they will have no problem filling up the rest of their time. I'm heading to Minneapolis in a few days to do some training for Target. Then another trip to London coming soon. Bummer . . . :) Then we are looking forward to a trip back home to see my 'little' brother Jason get hitched to his fiance Heather! He turns 30 today, so it's about time. Then again, good things come to those who wait, and she seems like a keeper.
Happy Birthday to Jason, Me, Heather and Don in the next few days! Gotta love the beginning of summer.
